A college in Bhaktapur that has been teaching under one motto since 1993 — education for peace and prosperity.
Modern College & School was established in 2050 B.S. (1993 A.D.) under the motto “Education for Peace and Prosperity” — a line that has outlasted every other thing about the institution and still describes what we are for.
In 2065 B.S. we opened the first +2 Management college in Bhaktapur district. In 2074 B.S. we added +2 Law, in partnership with Kathmandu School of Law. Today we also offer BBS, affiliated with Tribhuvan University, through Universal Modern College at Srijana Nagar, Bhaktapur.
We aspire to introduce the Science stream at +2, and to expand into BBA, BCA, BIM, BBM, BSc CSIT, and BHM, alongside further Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.
To be a leading yet affordable institution, focused on quality learning, character development, and holistic growth — nurturing responsible, compassionate, disciplined, and intelligent students who are prepared to contribute to the nation and to the wider world.

When we founded Modern Boarding Secondary School, Modern English Secondary School, and Universal Modern College, our vision was deeply personal: to build a sanctuary of learning where every child is given the tools to shape a bright future, secure a successful career, and contribute to a peaceful, prosperous world.
