Grade 11 Hotel Management Students Gain Practical Experience Through Food Stall
The practical activity provided students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in the classroom in a real-world setting.
Bhaktapur, September 20, 2026 - Grade 11 Hotel Management students of Modern School/College participated in their weekly practical session by setting up and operating a food stall within the college premises today.
The practical activity provided students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in the classroom in a real-world setting. Through the food stall, students were actively involved in various aspects of hospitality and food service, including food preparation, presentation, customer service, teamwork and stall management.
The activity was designed to strengthen students’ practical understanding of the hospitality industry while encouraging creativity, responsibility and effective communication. Working together, the students experienced the different roles involved in running a food-service operation and learned the importance of coordination and professional service.
Such practical-based learning activities help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, preparing students for future academic and professional opportunities in the hotel and hospitality sector.
The weekly practical session reflects the college’s emphasis on learning beyond the classroom through hands-on experience.
